“Channel Crossings crisis will only be solved with cooperation with the French”
In an Interview with Channel 4, RAMP Principal and former Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes welcomed the latest deal between the UK and France deal on Channel crossings as “incremental progress”, reaffirming that the ‘crisis’ of channel crossings will ‘only be solved with cooperation with the French’. She also added that more needs to be done to speed up decision making on asylum claims and to expand already existing safe routes, such as refugee resettlement and family reunion.
