Bishop of Durham Paul Butler's thoughts on refugees at Christmas

In a Christmas piece on the Northern Echo, RAMP Principal and Bishop of Durham Paul Butler shared his reflections on the hardship that refugee children face being separated from their parents. Stating that ‘families belong together’, the Bishop of Durham called for the government to expand family reunion pathways to allow parents to join their children in the UK - a step that would also remove state’s responsibility towards their care while being ‘transformational’ for the children affected.
