Baroness Lister’s contributions to the Rwanda Bill Second Reading quoted in Politics Home.

On the 9th of February, RAMP Principal Baroness Ruth Lister’s comments in the Rwanda Bill Second Reading were quoted in Politics Home.

The paper picked up how the Labour peer has been contemplating modifications to Rishi Sunak's Safety of Rwanda Bill, with a particular emphasis on enhancing safeguards for children.

Baroness Ruth Lister has endorsed amendments related to unaccompanied minors, which would oblige ministers to solicit independent counsel on optimal strategies for safeguarding the well-being of children potentially facing deportation to Rwanda alongside their families.
