Allowing asylum seekers the right to work after six months is common sense

As the Nationality and Borders Bill returned to the House of Commons last week, RAMP Principal Baroness Stroud makes the case for MPs to pass the Lords’ amendment on granting the right to work for asylum seekers after six months of their initial application. In an article for PoliticsHome, she argues that this amendment would provide benefits for both the Treasury, employers and not least asylum seekers to re-build their lives in the UK.
